Ahead of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone this weekend, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli have taken to a different kind of track.

Set at a secret off-road filming location for INEOS Automotive, a subsidiary of INEOS Group and proud partners of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team since 2020, Russell and Antonelli are initially seen finishing their lines to camera, following the director’s instructions.

That is, until they sit down for a break…

In front of the racers lie an INEOS Quartermaster pickup and a Grenadier Station Wagon, both in pristine showroom condition. Something feels off because why are off-road vehicles this clean?

The answer comes quickly. With mischievous grins exchanged, Russell and Antonelli are ready to rewrite the script and dash for the posing vehicles. Russell takes the INEOS Quartermaster, a 4×4 pickup truck, essentially a utility version of the Grenadier SUV. Antonelli follows, beelining for the Grenadier Station Wagon Trialmaster Edition finished in Shale Blue.

Whipping up a dust cloud on exit, both drivers enjoy a brief on-road experience, proving that these rugged 4x4s can tackle multiple surfaces before turning up the intensity and hooking a right-hand turn into the undergrowth where they truly belong.

A drone is sent to find the AWOL drivers but struggles to locate the racers as they speed down rocky tracks, duck through trees, and kick up sand in a thrilling game of off-road cat and mouse.

Both 4x4s are pushed to their limits in this off-road playground as the racers thread the needle through a tight track riddled with bumps and hidden water splashes. Fortunately, the Grenadier’s come equipped with dedicated off-road modes for when the going gets tough.

By the time they return, both vehicles are covered in grime, the perfect evidence of a break well taken.
